Campus Cutie: Zach Daniel

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Notre Dame chapter.

Fresh off the plane back from study abroad, HCND caught up with world traveler, Zach Daniel and got him to sit down and share a bit about himself for the ladies of Her Campus.

Look at this babe in Bali!

What the Ladies Need to Know:

Biggest dating/relationship pet peeve? Playing Games. At the end of the day, I can play the game, but I always love a girl who is upfront.

What do you look for in a girl? Confidence is definitely attractive to me. If a girl is comfortable in her own skin, then I will definitely be totally enthralled. And if she can make me laugh then that’s definitely a plus. Humor is attractive.

What is your biggest deal breaker in a girl? Just not being yourself. Trying to be someone else, just to impress a guy. That is not what’s up.

What is your ideal date? Well I guess we can go do whatever. I’m not too picky. We can be at home and watch a movie and I can make dinner. Or we can go out to dinner. Whatever works. As long as we’re able to have a good time

What is one thing you’d like girls to know about you? I guess they can find out if we get to meet face to face! I need to keep some semblance of mystery.

Zach’s Time at Notre Dame

If you could go back to freshman year and tell yourself one thing you know now, what would it be? Everything comes in time. Be patient, concentrate on what’s important, and keep being yourself.

What is one thing you’d change about Notre Dame? The relationship between girls and guys on campus. It’s kinda strained, that could be due to parietals, or maybe something else. But it can get weird from time to time. Nothing really needs to be odd like that.

What is your favorite Notre Dame memory thus far? To be completely honest, I can’t pick one. My experience abroad in Australia (shoutout to Port Lodge) was amazing. But the time I have spent in St. Ed’s has also been something that I always will remember. So those are probably the two things I will most remember about my time at Notre Dame.

What’s one item on your Notre Dame Bucket List? I’ve completed a lot of items to be honest. But one thing I haven’t done is DJ at ND. I would love to do that at some point. I’m a bit rusty though. Also to explore the tunnels under campus would be awesome.

Zach’s Plans for the Future:

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Singapore. Because I’ve been there and I really want to go back. But it’d have to be sometime in the far future when I’m not in college. I would stay out there for a couple of years, and travel all around SE Asia and Australia.

Where do you see yourself in 25 years? Prolly being like Ari Gold from Entourage. But without the wife and kids. And being pretty awesome. So maybe George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig, Idris Elba, or Elon Musk.

Closing Remarks: Well, I think that Notre Dame is pretty cool and has definitely made a mark on the person I have become, and the company that I keep. I can’t wait to see what my life has in store.

Thanks, Zach, and congrats on being a Her Campus Cutie!
