Introducing this week’s Campus Cutie: Tom Knight of the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team. Though he’s #25 on the basketball court, he’ll always be #1 in our hearts here at HCND.

The Basics

Name: Tom Knight

Hometown: Dixfield, Maine

Year: Grad student

Dorm: Formerly a highlander of Duncan Hall; now living off campus.

Major: Graduated with a degree in management in 2013; now undeclared.

Life Mantra: I don’t need it, but I want it.

Love & Basketball

On the Court

What position do you play? Power Forward.

What are the pros of being a ND athlete? That’s a hard question. Good DART times. The ladies. Being able to eat whenever I want and not gaining weight.

What are the cons of being a ND athlete? Having to spend hours everyday practicing instead of hanging out with friends, sweating regularly, and not being able to devote more of my time to…academics.

Does your team have any traditions or rituals? I mean, me and a few of the guys play Mario Kart in my apartment before every game…

Off the Court

Relationship status? Single and hoping.

Favorite pick-up line? “Hi, I’m Tom Knight.”

South Bend date night destination? CJ’s Pub: the most romantic of all places.

Dream girl? She’s got to be able to make me laugh. Make me cry. Challenge me to be a better person. Good genes. Good face. Decent body.

Any funny relationship stories? My ex-girlfriend from high school was the photographer for my sister’s (very recent) engagement photos.

Ten Years from Now…

Location? The northern woods of Maine — or a city, like New York or Boston.

Occupation? Chasin’ paper, baby: working in sales for either a technology or a medical company.

Basketball? You know, when I watch sports center, it’ll be there. When I drive by a basketball court, I won’t stop. It’ll be something, not that big of a something, though.

Relationship status? Still searching.

That’s all for now, ladies. Can’t get enough of Tom? Catch him at ND MBB’s next home game at the Joyce Center or follow him on Twitter @knighttime25.
