What do you want to do after graduation?
Is retiring an option? If not, my second choice would be going to dental school.
When did you decide that you wanted to be a dentist?
I really like teeth. I always have. When I was younger, I used to chase my little brother with a toothbrush and floss until he would let me play with his teeth. Deciding I wanted to pursue a career in the dental field came from the combination of a few things besides my borderline obsession with teeth: I’m a really hands on person, I love when people smile, and I don’t like when people die (especially if it could potentially be my fault). So I knew my path was clear and that I wanted to go into the dental field. I’m still not sure yet if I’ll be a dentist because I also really like the idea of being an orthodontist or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Who knows? We shall see, I suppose!
Do you have any summer plans lined up?
I’m in the process of trying to land a pre-dental internship in Cape Town, South Africa. I had an interview last week and it went really well. One more and then I should find out within the next couple months. So fingers crossed!

What is your favorite thing about Notre Dame?
The SDH fresh baked cookies!
And your least favorite?
The Burger King in LaFun. I’ve honestly never seen someone in line there. I just want a Chik-Fil-A.
Favorite campus spot?
I know this is the cliché answer, but the Grotto. Nowhere else even comes close.

Music:
My guilty pleasure is Boys Like Girls. I got to kiss the lead guitarist freshman year when they came here. My middle school self died and went to heaven that day.
Movies:
Law Abiding Citizen or anything with Denzel Washington. Action movies are by far my favorite.
Book:
Harry Potter. I’ve read the entire series probably seventeen times. J.K. Rowling is a boss.
TV Show:
Suits, Grey’s Anatomy, House of Cards, and Criminal Minds. I love Netflix.
Food:
Tortellini, Papa John’s breadsticks, and Sour Patch Kids. I’m really healthy.
