The Best Online Store for ND Tailgate Clothing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Notre Dame chapter.

With our first home football game fast approaching, a few questions continue to keep me up at night: “New Mexico has a football team?,” “Are they even good?,” “Will I run into Miles Teller again?” (yes that happened) and, the most important question of all, “What am I going to wear?” My insomnia has since inspired me to do some research on where to buy the cutest and most affordable tailgate clothing, so everyone will be looking and feeling 100% come kickoff.

Gameday Bae

Gameday Bae has some of the best college tailgate apparel I’ve come across. This website gives you the option to customize your own apparel such as bandeaus, tube tops, bralettes, cheer skirts and much more! Gameday Bae also offers accessories like fanny packs, beanies, jewelry, etc. that will make your outfit look *that* much better. Additionally, if you don’t feel like going through the process of customizing your purchases, they give both the options to shop your team’s colors or the NCAA officially licensed apparel.

Lo + Jo

Lo + Jo was the brainchild of two college roommates with a passion for both school spirit and fashion. The Lo + Jo website gives you numerous options to purchase apparel including the ability to browse by school (including vintage ND sweatshirts), select items by your school’s colors, or shop by collection (check out the St. Patty’s collection). Considering everything is handmade, the extremely trendy items are listed at a reasonable price.

Etsy

Etsy never lets me down. There are so many vintage options (especially sweatshirts) and everything is within a good price range. Just be on the lookout for where your seller is shipping from, sometimes it’s overseas and takes longer than expected.

American Eagle Tailgate Collection

I discovered the American Eagle Tailgate Collection last year while searching for affordable (but cute) game day clothes and was pleasantly surprised to discover their collection. The quality of the clothes is always picture perfect, not to mention they’re currently having a sale!

Hammes Bookstore (they’re trying!)

When I first showed up to the Hammes Bookstore freshman year to look for clothes, I was slightly disappointed. In all honesty, the store was lacking in the late teens/ early 20’s department. HOWEVER, as time went on, they clearly decided to up their game and add trendy tailgate apparel to their inventory, so of course, I had to be fair and include them on the list.

GameBaes

GameBaes allows you to customize any clothing item all at an affordable price. Their clothes range from tube tops, tank/crop tops, bodysuits, sweatshirts and skirts. All you have to do is put your school name and colors in the notes during check out, it’s as easy as that!

Hamsafaith

Do you have a boring college sweatshirt or tee that needs some revamping? Not enough time to do it yourself?  All you have to do is pick the new style you want and send your old clothes to the address listed on her website. Your clothing garment then goes through a process of acid washing, cutting, and sewing until it’s one of a kind! Two weeks from the day you shipped, your new gameday garment will be ready to wear!

I hope my recommendations help you all show up to the first day looking like tailgate queens! As always:  Go Irish!!!!
