This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, campus is blooming with opportunities to celebrate the rosy day, whether it’s with a significant other, with friends and loved ones, or even by yourself. In the lead-up to Wednesday, here are some upcoming NU events that are guaranteed to get you in an enchanted mood!

On Valentine’s Day itself, campus will be packed to the brim with events covering the afternoon, getting students and faculty alike ready for the evening of romance.

Starting at 3, ARTica Studios Underground is holding a free candy and crafts event in Norris, where anyone can make adorable themed cards and enjoy bisqueware, which is sure to last you through to the next Valentine’s Day. Also at 3 pm, CAPS is hosting a drop-in social and wellness event on Searle’s second floor, where they will be serving hot chocolate, giving out love letters and celebrating self-care with stations including rom-coms, friendship bracelets and an affirmation wall.

At 4 pm, Multicultural Student Affairs is hosting a special event in room 107 at the Multicultural Center (1936 Sheridan Road) where music and a rom-com are possibilities for its attendees. Lastly, at 5 pm, University Hall will be hosting a party with a series of games and sweet treats in the Hagstrum Room, including trivia and knowledge games to educate about the history of the holiday.

Wherever or however you choose to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the holiday is set for a celebration of all forms of love. Hopefully these campus events will inspire you to be a little extra loving to those around you and revel in the holiday spirit!
