Guilty pleasures?
Starting every morning with a cup of coffee (preferably Dunkin Donuts, if available). Oh, and I absolutely love flossing my teeth.

Pet peeves?
When online blogs like Thought Catalog try to explain complex social phenomena in a 15-step list, use of the word “irregardless,” and 1-800 numbers.

What are you involved with on campus?
Throughout my time at Northwestern, I have been involved with PWild, Arts Alliance, and the Civic Engagement Certificate Program. I also work as a Tour Guide.

Future career goals?
I’m currently exploring many different paths for next year; I’m still trying to find career options that satiate all of my interests. Eventually, I hope to attend law school and pursue a career in law.

How would you describe your personality?
I am an extremely curious person. I think curiosity motivates the vast majority of my interactions. I am always seeking to learn something new or develop a deeper understanding of something I thought I understood.

What’s the best part of being the Homecoming Queen?
Being on Homecoming Court allowed me to meet countless incredible people. The other members of the Court are fascinating people so interacting with them was a highlight of the experience. Additionally, we handed out oodles of purple swag at the Class of 2017 Tailgate and thus met many freshmen. I was also able to meet numerous alumni.

Why do you love Northwestern?
As a senior, I’ve had many conversations with my peers about the job and internship experiences that have filled our past several summers. I have noticed a common theme in each of those conversations: by and large, students say “I loved the job but nothing compares to being at Northwestern.” Being in college is an extraordinary privilege. We have four years to focus almost exclusively on self-improvement through learning, forging relationships, and getting to know ourselves. Northwestern facilitates these fantastic learning experiences and exposes us to people who challenge us to grow beyond what we thought was possible.

Most memorable moment at Northwestern?
I had a moment during spring quarter of my freshman year. While walking across campus at night, I looked around and realized that for the first time that year, I really considered Northwestern to be my home. It was a moment of profound comfort and I have not forgotten it. That said, I will not soon forget the spectacular sight that was the student section at the Homecoming game. It was a sea of purple–absolutely amazing.
