The Northwestern football team returns to Ryan Field Saturday for its second home game. After the loss at Illinois last weekend, the Wildcats are going to raise their claws up against the University of Michigan. Northwestern collegiettes™ will be prepared with jingling keys and purple style. Michigan, get ready for these cute ‘Cats.

For many freshmen this will be their first game at Northwestern. Now is the time to bring out the purple wardrobes they’ve been collecting since they received their acceptance letters. But whether you’re a newcomer or it’s your last time around, suiting up for the game in style is key to distracting Michigan football players to a loss.

Let’s try to stray from the typical “class of” tees that Northwestern gives to each student the first day. But of course you can still be casual. Slip on a Northwestern rugby style shirt and a pair of leggings like Bisola Sosan, a freshman, who said it was “cozy.”

Our model, Carley Lintz, stepped her Northwestern apparel up one level by wearing a t-shirt under a purple skirt. She also has on purple wayfarers, a matching vest, and adorably painted Northwestern beads.

Why not even go a little dressier? Megan Suckut, a journalism major, dons a light silk, royal purple dress. She pairs it with a festive scarf or more appropriately, her keys to shake at kickoff.

Keep an eye out on Her Campus Northwestern next week! We will be photo-blogging your Northwestern spirit style- you could be featured!
