Very few things can get me out of bed before noon on a Saturday. Brunch is one of them. Luckily, Chicago is filled with yummy options, and lots of them are decorated in ways that would be wrong not to photograph. Even if you don’t care about the gram, check out these four spots for some ~goooooood~ food.

Summer House Santa Monica

If you live in Chicago and haven’t posted anything on social media from Summer House yet, I’m impressed. Winter can be rough, and this bright, beachy oasis with aesthetically crafted dishes is like a shot of vitamin D. You can’t go wrong with the avocado toast, burrata, ahi tuna tostadas orBrussell sprouts salad.

3 Arts Club Cafe at Restoration Hardware

Embedded in an actual furniture store, 3 Arts Cafe takes the red carpet style award. My personal favorites here include the lobster roll, truffle grilled cheese, burrata and ribeye sandwich. If you go during peak brunch time on weekends, be prepared to wait – they don’t take reservations. At least there are comfy couches if your lounge is long!

True Food Kitchen

The perfect spot for health food lovers, True Food boasts a menu full of vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian fare. Even if you order decadent pasta, like I would, the restaurant’s vibrant garden decor and clean wood furnishing makes you feel ~healthy~ just sitting there. No matter what you end up ordering, don’t miss out on the edamame dumpling appetizer.

Beatnik Chicago

The ambiance at Beatnik cannot be beat. I recommend coming here in the winter when it’s -15 degrees and the sky is gloomy gray because the beautiful Persian rugs and shimmering candelabras will make you forget you’re in Chicago. This place is perfect for brunchers looking for a change from typical breakfast fare. The menu has some brunch staples like smoked burrata on avocado toast, but I recommend trying the babaganoush, shakshuka or caramelized banana cinnamon rolls.
