The 12 Best Dressed Celebrities of the 2021 Golden Globe Awards

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

The 2021 Golden Globes took place this past Sunday, and while the absence of an in-person celebrity audience led to plenty of technical difficulties and awkward moments, the lack of a red carpet did not lead to any disappointment. The nominees and winners took the opportunity to change out of sweatpants, and they did not hold back on the glamour. Check out 12 of the best-dressed stars of the night below.

Anya Taylor-Joy in Dior Haute Couture

Taylor-Joy stunned in a custom emerald green Dior Haute Couture gown and matching cape. She finished off the look with 1 million dollars worth of Tiffany & Co. diamonds, including 18-carat diamond earrings.

Elle Fanning in Gucci

Fanning channeled her character, Catherine the Great, looking regal in a pale blue, silky Gucci dress with a low back and crystal-embellished straps. She accessorized with custom briolette-cut diamond tassel earrings by Fred Leighton and other Fred Leighton jewels.

Jackson Lee in Gucci

Lee and his sister, Satchel, both wore custom Gucci for their roles as 2021 Golden Globes ambassadors. Lee rocked the carpet in a custom-tailored Grottesco brocade jacket and black satin lapel.

Cynthia Erivo in Valentino

Erivo wore a neon green sleeveless mesh gown with exaggerated promotions and sharp angles. The look was completed with a pair of seven-inch silver platforms and elbow-length white leather gloves.

Amanda Seyfried in Oscar de la Renta

Seyfried channeled old Hollywood glamour in a coral off-the-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown with floral appliqués lining the shoulder.

Dan Levy in Valentino Couture

Levy rocked a yellow Valentino suit on top of a sequined top with matching metallic shoes from home.

Eiza Gonzalez in Versace

Gonzalez stunned in a minimalist black Versace gown with thigh-high slits and diamond details outlining the bust. She topped off the look with black stockings and Alexandre Birman peep-toe sandals.

Emma Corrin in Miu Miu

Corrin wore a black Miu Miu dress embroidered with crystals and topped off with an exaggerated white organza collar, inspired by Twiggy and Pierrot the Clown. She accessorized with Cartier emerald, platinum, and diamond earrings and a matching ring.

Lily Collins in Saint Laurent

Collins wore a one-shoulder, jewel-toned paisley embroidered Saint Laurant gown with cutout detail on the side. She styled her outfit with old-Hollywood curls and a bold lip.

Leslie Odom Jr. in Valentino Haute Couture and a Bulgari watch

Odom was the epitome of cool in Valentino with his lime green turtleneck layered under a pale button-down and a tan brown suit.

Shira Haas in Chanel

Haas wore a simple, black strapless high-low Chanel dress to celebrate being the first-ever Israeli actor to be nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Unorthodox.

Kaley Cuoco in Oscar de la Renta
