This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

While home for Thanksgiving Break, I interviewed James Fuller, my dad who is a Northeastern grad, for this week’s Husky in the Spotlight.

What year did you graduate from Northeastern?

I graduated from Northeastern in 1992.

What did you study at Northeastern? How did you choose your major and minor?

I studied economics with a minor in political science. I choose my major and minor because I was interested in how policy shaped the way the economy functions. Also, I felt like both economics and political science would prepare me well for law school.

What was your favorite spot on campus when you were a student?

My favorite spot on campus was the quad.

How did Northeastern prepare you for your career?

It gave me the foundation to be successful in law school.

How has Northeastern changed since you were a student?

It is much more global than it was when I was there. The competition for admissions is also much higher than when I was a student.

Did you have a favorite professor?

Oscar Brookins was my favorite professor. He taught economics.

If you could get another degree from Northeastern, what would it be?

A degree in international business because of how global all businesses are now and for the opportunities to travel.
