My favorite part about award shows is undeniably the fashion. This year at the 64th Grammy Awards, celebrities dressed everywhere on the scale from mellow to crazy. Let’s run down the five best and worst dressed celebrities at the Grammy red carpet this year.

Best Dressed

1. Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen gave ultimate spring vibes as she donned a Nicole and Felicia Couture pink ball gown. Teigen went for a simple, strapless look to show off her shoulders and balance the giant ruffly gown. She paired the look with dangly silver earrings and a simple updo to complement the enormous dress and show off her facial features. Teigen’s counterpart John Legend could have been a little bit more creative with his black suit, but he humbly let his wife take the front stage in pink.

2. Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa, pictured to the right, left an impression in a vintage Atelier Versace bondage dress, the same one worn by Cindy Crawford in the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards, pictured to the left. Dua Lipa’s platinum blonde, straight hair complemented her timeless jet black dress with a mesh middle. She accessorized the look with chunky gold bracelets and necklaces, simple silver rings, and a bright red lip.

3. Lil Nas X

Next up is Lil Nas X, who stunned in a pearly white Balmain two-piece outfit with matching shoes before performing a mashup with Jack Harlow. What set Lil Nas X’s look apart were the pops of color on the butterflies and the gorgeous texture of the two-piece. Lil Nas X finished the look with simple silver rings and earrings as well as bright blue inner eye corners for an extra pop of color.

4. Olivia Rodrigo

19-year-old Sour star Olivia Rodrigo picked an elegant off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress paired with light curls in her hair. Rodrigo completed the Y2K inspired look with black and pink choker necklaces and sleek elegant black gloves in which she accepted a whopping three Grammys by the end of the show. She chose simple makeup including winged eyeliner and a soft pink lip to complement the black and pink theme.

5. Jazmine Sullivan

Jazmine Sullivan chose a Christian Siriano two-piece set complemented by sleek black sunglasses and an elegant long silver necklace. She let the patterns on the set be the star of the show with a simple high ponytail. The wide leg of her pants gave her extra elevation as she proudly accepted two Grammys.

Worst Dressed

1. Tayla Parx

Singer, songwriter, and actress Tayla Parx chose to make a colorful statement at the Grammys with a bright green and yellow spiky one-piece that made her look like a character out of a video game. This dino-inspired look did not flatter her as much as it could have, but at least it made her stand out.

2. Maria Becerra

Maria Becerra, who performed “Qué Más Pues?” with J Balvin, chose a neutral look for the red carpet. The dress flattered her body, but the color and sheer material did not look fit for the Grammys. Her harness on top of the dress looked distracting and out of place. At least her makeup looked stunning!

3. Jidenna

I’m all for 70s inspired fashion, but the pattern Jidenna chose looked a bit like curtains or a vintage couch. Additionally, I would recommend choosing a more flattering shape as the tunic only served to swallow his figure. The pants could perhaps be paired with a solid color top for a more flattering choice.

4. Yola

The bold purple color Yola chose for this look was gorgeous, but the sleeves and furry gloves were not the classiest. I did, however, love her makeup look and hair, but there was a bit too much purple and texture. There was way too much going on with the furry sleeves, long pointy nails, and chopstick-like accessories in her hair.

5. Alisha Gaddis

Alisha Gaddis, an actress and producer, looked like a character out of Into the Woods with her red carpet ensemble. I love the bright color she chose for her gown, but unfortunately, the dress looked too big on her, and the texture was not flattering. Additionally, the tree headband distracted from her beautiful red, curled hair.
