We finally made it! We are in the midst of spring. Time for non stop warm weather, flowers blooming and consuming nothing but fruit while sun kissing our bodies for the summer. The part you were waiting for: colors of the season… pretty much ANYTHING pale + some statement must haves.
From researching trends to watching the runway, I just can’t escape the pretty colors for spring ’18. Pale or “baby” colors are stealing everyone’s hearts and I’m no exception. These colors really bring together the whole spring vibe. Another thing to mention is that ultra violet MAY just be the color of the season. Get your hands on it ASAP!! I know personally speaking I’ve fallen real hard for purple lately. Pictured above is Pantones color palette for spring 2018. I think it’s safe to say they’ve hit this one right on the money. Since I’m talking colors of the season today I thought it would be fun to also mention some trends.

#1 Matchy Matchy
A current trend is being very “matchy matchy” and pairing shades of the same color together. Even pairing the exact same color on your top and bottom is super fun. Same goes with prints. Wearing a matching two piece polka dot, stripe or gingham set is hot right now. Here’s a fun little number that I threw together. The shades of purple are all so different but work so well. You definitely have to be going for something bold to rock this. The bag of choice for this look is an authentic vintage Fendi shoulder bag that I found for $1. MAJOR SCORE. I basically cried after I handed over the Washington. Not to mention, another current trend, logo prints from designers.

#2 Statement Bags
Basket purses, beaded bags, see through, hoop handled. It’s really all in the detail. These are the ultimate must haves for the season. If you keep up with big name brands you might of also seen that Kate Spades spring collection included the CUTEST basket purse with strawberries that I’ve ever laid my eyes on, seen below. Coach also has stepped up their game majorly this season and delivered along side Guru Selena Gomez. (But when were they ever slacking?)

#3 Shorts Your Dads Been Waiting For You To Wear
Yup.. You read that right. Long shorts. They’re basically about to break the internet (or they might have already). My favorite pair is some distressed vintage Guess Jeans shorts. Another score, thrifted last spring from Good Will. Finally we can be comfy in shorts without our bums hanging out. Below, Urban Outfitters has set the perfect example with the tone on tone look going on and the long shorts. In my opinion, these shorts are SO versatile. You can dress them up with some leopard print heels and a lace bodysuit for a night out or dress it down with some sneakers and a band tee for the farmers market. You just can’t go wrong with them!
