Johnson’s baby lotion. This may sound odd, but my dermatologist recommended this for my acne prone skin. It is cheaper than many other moisturizers and it smells great. Another moisturizer that I use in combination with baby lotion is the Pond’s Dry Skin Cream. I get especially dry under my eyes and this product does the trick to keep my makeup looking smooth instead of flakey.

  • Foundation

As I mentioned before, I have acne prone skin, but I also have patches of dry skin. So, I look for a foundation that is not too drying, but also has full coverage. It has taken me a long time to find one that works for me but I finally found one that I adore, the Covergirl Aqua Smooth foundation in “Soft Honey.” I enjoy that this foundation is more of a paste than a liquid foundation.

  • Concealer and Setting Powder

Next is my go-to concealer. I use the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal High Definition concealer in “Creamy Beige.” This is a very inexpensive concealer that glides on smoothly. It does create some creases, but I combat this with the Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder.

  • Bronzer and Blush

I am very particular about the bronzer and blush that I use. I tend to stay away from sparkly products because I feel like that can often accentuate my imperfections. I have currently been obsessed with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer. However, a dupe for this is the Rimmel Natural Bronzer. There is not much difference between these products, perhaps just the blending ability. For blush, I use the Covergirl Cheeker blush in “Natural Rose.” This blush has good pigment for the price.

  • Highlighter

Highlighter has become such a trend in recent years. It has the ability to make your skin look fresh and glowy. I use the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight Contour Palette. This is pretty pricey but a great alternative for this is the Wet n Wild highlighter in the “Precious Petals” shade. These both have a buttery consistency that does a great job of highlighting your best features.

  • Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow is something that I am willing to pay more money for because I do think there is a large difference between drugstore and high-end eyeshadow. My favorite palette right now is the Tarte Tartlette Toasted palette. I am a big fan of Tarte’s eyeshadows because of the wonderful pigment they have. In this specific palette, I am obsessed with the orange and brown shades. This palette helps me to make very versatile looks in just one small compact.

  • Eyeliner

I am currently using the Tarte Sex Kitten eyeliner. I really like this eyeliner when creating a wing or cat eye. Another eyeliner that I am constantly repurchasing is the L’Oreal Infallible Super Slim liquid eyeliner. I think that this is just as good as the Tarte eyeliner but much cheaper!

  • Mascara

My mascara is one that I have been using for years and does a great job of lengthening and separating my lashes. It is the L’Oreal Telescopic mascara. This mascara can be coated numerous times without making your lashes clumpy. For my eyebrows, I love the Elf Studio Eyebrow kit. It is so cheap and gets the job done!

I hope I have helped you find some products that work for you or the ones that you want to check out! Just remember, whether you enjoy wearing makeup or not, inner beauty is what shines through the most.
