Wednesday, March 8th, is International Women’s Day and there are so many ways to celebrate this wonderful holiday that should honestly be celebrated every, single, day (right, ladies?). My mother is my favorite woman, she is the best person I know, and I love her with all my heart. She has taught me to love myself and take pride in being a Latina. So, in honor of International Women’s Day, the first thing you should do is call your mother and/or all of the females you know and love.

Second, have Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” on replay!

Third, visit the awesome feminist “Year of Yes” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum and support these female artists.

1. Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern which opens March 3 – July 23.

2. A Woman’s Afterlife: Gender Transformation in Ancient Egypt – Opened December 2016

3. Iggy Pop Life Class – Open until March 26.

4. Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty – Open until April 2.

Lastly, spread love, motivating words, and thoughts. We girls gotta stand together! As the empowering female musical group The Cheetah Girls said, “Never give up, never stand down! Girl Power, girl power!”

Happy International Women’s Day!
