The 7 Struggles of the Wind Tunnel

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New Haven chapter.

wind tun·nel

ˈwind ˌtənl/

noun

That treacherous walk between Celentano Hall (aka Soundview) and Bixler Hall (aka worst building to live in) to reach your class destination on time.

At first you’re like…

And then you start…

1. Deciding whether to go through quad and be late, or risk it and look like a tornado ate you.

2. Avoiding the confusingly placed sprinklers.

(Thank you sprinkler for watering the sidewalk; it was looking a little dry.)

3. Making eye contact with people from far away, and then having to pass them after already having said hi.

4. Coming indoors after walking through the tunnel in the winter and talking to a friend…

5. When the wind picks up…

6. Tripping and knowing everyone just saw you, but trying to play it cool regardless.

7. Trying to pass people who are walking the entire width

(Yup… Just keep being ignorant… It’s cool.)
