One of my guilty pleasures is that I love crime. True crime, fake crime, police shows, S.W.A.T team shows – you name it. I have always loved this genre since I was young. I would stay up late watching murder mystery movies, but would sleep peacefully without a hitch. The scenes never fazed me, but made me want to watch it more. In fact, this influenced me to minor in Forensic Science here at NC State University.

So I will be sharing some of the YouTube channels that I watch that cover anything true crime!

  1. Eleanor Neale

She is by far one of my favorite channels! She covers crime cases all across the country, from the USA all the way down to England. Eleanor does a great job at not just telling the story, but personifying the victim and actually showcasing the victim’s story. Along with that, she helps give background on the suspect, which is interesting because you can see why they are they way they are. I feel like I have watched most of her videos and she has hundreds upon hundreds on her channel, so you girls should definitely check her out!

  1. Jackie Flores

Jackie covers mainly crime cases across America and she really tries to cover cases that are not well known. Especially if the victim is a person of color, she really wants to make sure that their stories are being heard. You can tell she really cares about the victims through her videos.

  1. MrBallen

This guy is amazing. He covers not only true crime cases, but myths, legends, and other interesting cases. MrBallen not only provides a wide variety of stories, but he is a great storyteller. I have watched a lot of his videos and not once has he failed in relaying a story in a way that is captivating. It truly feels like I’m sitting around a campfire, while listening to that one person tell an eerie story.

  1. JCS – Criminal Psychology

This channel is different from all of the others I’ve mentioned. It still deals with crime, but they upload interrogation videos of different criminals and provide commentary on them. They analyze the suspect’s behavior and give the reasoning for it from a forensic psychologist’s standpoint. Have I watched all of their videos? Yes. Every. Single. One. Am I ashamed about it? No. Would I rewatch them? Yes. These videos are gold because you can actually see how the interrogation went and figure out a whole buttload of more information about the crime.

  1. Kendall Rae

Kendall Rae is also a great channel to watch, if you enjoyed Eleanor Neale’s or Jackie Flores’ channels. I watch her every now and then, only because I am neck deep into all my other favorite Youtube channels’ content.

I hope you all check out at least one of these channels and let me know your thoughts on them!
