Life’s been getting me down lately- the end of the semester always feels like this. I’m running around, going a mile a minute, doing a million different things. I feel like I’m in an endless cycle of saying “Just get through this week.” I’m burnt out, overwhelmed by earthly things. And those earthly things? They’re taking over my time with God. I’ve been choosing worry over worship.

Too often I forget that coming to Christ doesn’t make my life all sunshine and rainbows. I still struggle, I still get frustrated with things. Life is hard. But I know that my Father is there, carrying me through it. He never leaves my side, His light always guides my path. Just because I’m having a difficult time doesn’t mean I am any less faithful. It simply means I need to lean on Him.

I’m not the only Christian who is having a bad day, a bad week. Sometimes we just need to hear that other believers are struggling; sometimes we need to listen to God’s encouragement. Christian music and worship- it never fails to renew, uplift, and soothe my soul. Words have power, and that is certainly evident in those proclaiming God’s goodness.

Here are some Christian songs for your weary heart. No explanations, just listen. I hope they comfort and inspire you as much as they do me.
