Taylor Swift released her music video for her hit song off “Midnights”on January 27. After watching the new video, swifties seem to think that she will soon to release “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”.
One of the first supposable easter eggs from the music video is this still (second photo) Taylor posted on her instagram.
Fans think this looks extremely familiar to the album cover of the original “Speak Now”. The purple haze alludes the the dress seen on the original cover (below).
Another easter egg disguised in the video is the koi fish featured throughout the video. You may be asking yourself “What do koi fish have to do with “Speak Now”? Well, Taylor used a guitar with koi fish on it when touring “Speak Now”. Once fans realized this, they were fast to tweet their discoveries. (Slide 2)
While these easter eggs may seem small, we can’t ignore the other references Swift has put in her recent videos for “Midnights”. Another example is when Taylor pushes the purple button 3 in the “Bejeweled” music video (slide 9). Many think this is a reference to “Speak Now” since it was her third album and features a ton of purple.
