North Carolina State University is blessed with girls who have brains, a bod, street smarts, beauty, confidence, creativity, style and sexyness. But it’s a fact that fifty-five percent of the student body is men, leaving forty-five percent as women. What does this mean? The girls have the easy part; getting to choose who they want out of a group of eligible bachelors, while the NCSU guys stress over finding a girl despite the numbers. So guys don’t stress! We have compiled a list of the different types of these rare NCSU Collegiettes™!

The School Girl

This collegiette™ is driven, focused and has little time for anything but her studies. She strives for the A+ and cringes at the B-. The School Girl doesn’t party much, but she knows how to unwind when she has the time. Too much work is never a good thing, and with a great head on her shoulders, she knows the importance of spending quality time with her closest friends.

Puss in Boots

Love a little taste of the south? Here is your typical southern-belle. She is a sweetheart who knows how to wear the boots and does, with style. This collegiette™ is usually (not always) also a sorority girl, sporting her love for her sisters and the university at tailgates, while making those boys hearts melt with every step she takes. This girl loves dressing up, her girls, and her country music. A pitcher of Sweet-tea and a couple of rocking chairs would make the perfect afternoon study session with this collegiette™.

The Granola Girl

If you love a hippie chick that is undeniably lovable because of her devotion to her surroundings, the Granola is for you. She is a fighter for equal rights, for peace, for mother-earth, for happiness. She see’s the beauty in the world and loves to wear her Chaco’s when the weather agrees. Her style is a little eccentric but it is a reflection of her love for the simple life. She is quiet until you get to know her, but once that happens, you’ll never hear an end to her unique opinions that shape who she is.

One of the Guys

This confident collegiette™ knows how to pull off that N.C. State fitted hat instead of the pearls and boots. She rounds up her boys and puts them to the test when she brings out the football at tailgates or the X-Box controller for a quick game. She cleans up well when necessary, but loves to just hang out with her guys instead of trying to impress new ones. She doesn’t do drama and has a few select girl friends that she can bond with because they are usually “One of the Guys” too.

The Party Chick

Pass out at three, wake up at ten, go out to eat then do it again! The Party Chick loves college for the parties, the friends, the experiences and the potential that every night brings. She gets ready to go out with a shot of cheap liquor, dances to Drake with the cutest available guy at the clubs, and ends her night when the sun is just starting a new day.

The Artista

Colors on her palette are bright, bold and fearless. The Artista can turn any piece of junk into a unique masterpiece; the product of pure creativity. She thinks outside of the brick and allows new ideas to form. She is always designing, creating, and trying new things. This spunky girl never wastes an artistic thought. Her imagination has no limits and she is constantly proving people wrong with her ability to use whatever is in front of her to make her life beautiful.

The Girly Girl

Pink radiates from their closets, scarves hang in a color-coded scheme, and shoes line the floor of this collegiettes™ closet. These girls are not quite the same as the girly girls down the road at a few certain schools…they can be girly, preppy, pretty-in-pink, talkative, adorable, and stylish without being “that” girl that everyone wants to be, but no one wants to be friends with. It is easy for the girly girl to be perceived as a “mean girl.” The reality is that these girls just love looking their best, shopping for the latest trends, and making their mommas proud. N.C. State Girly Girls don’t focus on outdoing other people…they just do it for themselves!
