1. Hocus Pocus 1&2

If you enjoy curling up on the couch with a warm blanket and watching a spooky comedy, then the 1993 hit movie Hocus Pocus is for you! The legend of the Sanderson Sisters haunts a small town and one Halloween night, they return to wreak havoc on all the children of Salem. It has top notch comedy with a spooky Halloween feeling. Recently, a sequel has come out, Hocus Pocus 2, and it is a much watch as well. You can watch these movies on Disney+!

2. Halloweentown 1,2,3&4

The classic Disney movie Halloweentown came out in 1998 and was an immediate hit! It involves the journey of a young girl becoming the witch she is meant to be with the help of her quirky grandmother. Halloweentown is an alternate universe of a town with all characters “halloweenie”. It’s a classic family fun night movie for the month of October. Halloweentown was such a popular movie that they made three sequels! Halloweentown 2: Kalabar’s Revenge, Halloweentown High, and Return to Halloweentown. My personal favorite is Return to Halloweentown where the lead character Marnie Piper goes to college in Halloweentown! You can watch all four of these Halloween classics on Disney+!

3. Twitches 1&2

Twitches is a witty 2000’s Disney movie where long lost twin sisters find each other and discover that they are actually witches from another dimension. They explore their new found powers and have to fight “the darkness” that is threatening their home. This movie is entertaining and fun to watch for a girls night or just a night in by yourself. There is also a sequel Twitches 2 that is just as witty and just as fun! You can watch both these comedies on Disney+!

4. Casper Meets Wendy

This is an oldy but goody movie from the 1990’s. Casper the friendly ghost is a cute floating ghost who never wanted to be mean like the rest of his ghost family. This sequel is where Casper meets his best friend Wendy the Good Little Witch at a resort that is spooky and magical. They team up to stop the evil warlock that is wreaking havoc on the resort. The comic relief of this movie is Caspers three uncles who are goofy yet wicked at the same time. Hilary Duff is Wendy the Good Little Witch! I watched this on DVD as a kid and can’t find it anywhere but YouTube.

5. Girl vs Monster

Girl vs Monster is an early 2010’s movie that was a classic on Disney Channel’s Monstober. Skylar Lewis (Olivia Holt) and Ryan Dean (Luke Benward) star in this spooky yet comedic movie about a girls fight against her worst monster. Skylar’s parents are secret monster hunters and one Halloween night, all the monsters they’ve caught over the years escape and create chaos and fear over the town. Skylar and her friends must fight to catch all the monsters before the sun rises. This movie also has one of the best Disney songs “Had Me At Hello” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now”. You can stream this movie on Disney+!
