For years, I have been trying to buy more sustainable products, especially for the bathroom. Buying everything from bamboo toothbrushes to unpackaged soap bars to toothpaste tablets, it became evident that this definitely was not the cheapest route. This cost barrier took deeper root in body washes and lotions, with many companies charging $25 or more for a small bottle.

However, as of a few weeks ago, buying sustainably got a little easier on the wallet! Jada Pinkett Smith launched her own eco-conscious personal care brand called Hey Humans, available only at Target. It includes gender-neutral lotion, toothpaste (with fluoride or without), deodorant, and body wash, all coming in at under $6. The products are sustainably designed, as the packaging is made with aluminum and paper, and are created with naturally derived ingredients. The products are also 100% cruelty-free, 100% vegan, and 99% plastic-free.

When I heard about this I had to check it out! I got the Coconut Mint lotion and it has changed my life. It is thin, non-greasy, sustainable, and smells amazing. I wear it every day now and cannot wait to try out all of the other products!

So, if you are in need of guilt-free, effective self-care products, make sure to check out the Hey Humans! line at Target. But before you do, use up all of your other products to make sure you are shopping in the most sustainable way possible!
