Chelsea Schwabe, a junior; Joel Stiling, a freshman; and Joel Shuford, a freshman; take over the Brickyard with their Free Hug signs last December. “We just felt like loving on the Campus,” Schwabe said. “It was right around exam time and we knew that people would be stressed out so we decided to show some love.” Schwabe and her hugging team spouted out facts about how hugging people can lead to a happier day and less stressed attitude as they recruited passer-bys in the Brickyard. I personally received three hugs, one from each of them, and loved the sense of love and community I felt from these fellow Wolfpackers. Free Hug Day repeat please?
