The never-ending search for engaging media to fill the in-betweens of our daily lives is a ubiquitous struggle. From car rides to walks, podcasts are a great way to add more joy to your daily life. Here are 5 of my favorites:

1. Sounds Like A Cult

In Sounds Like A Cult, Isa Medina and Amanda Montell reframe common cultural institutions in the context of cults. From Starbucks to Instagram influencers to essential oils, Medina and Montell expose the cultiness lurking around every corner of society. Sounds Like A Cult is a fun and lighthearted listen that encourages us to be more conscious and cautious cultural consumers.

2. Life After MLM

Multi-level marketing, or MLM, is an area of the business world that often exists in a moral and legal grey area. Join Roberta Blevins as she uncovers problematic aspects of MLMs such as the financial damage of being an MLM representative and the false promises told to MLM hopefuls. Former MLM reps are interviewed in the podcast and give insight into how they entered and escaped their MLMs. Life After MLM reminds us to be skeptical of any job offer that seems too good to be true and to treat ourselves and others with compassion.

3. VERY DELTA

Join famous drag queen Delta Work in VERY DELTA, a delightfully retro mock public access podcast. The audio version is amazing, but make sure to tune into the YouTube version so you can be mesmerized by Delta Work’s impeccable fashion sense and flawless makeup skills. Delta Work’s guests are also a welcome addition to the show. She interacts with a wide variety of public figures from the drag world and beyond. If you love drag, perfume, fashion, makeup, comedy and pop culture, you’ll love VERY DELTA.

As a bonus, lots of behind the scene trivia is covered, and Spongebob legend Jay Lender even guest stars on an episode! If you love dry humor and Spongebob, this is the ultimate podcast for you.
