As we end October, the season of fall only gets colder. With the change in weather, comes the difference in our outfits. We exchange our cute summer tank tops for warm sweaters and snug shorts for loose jeans. If you still want to build up your closet as we continue the season of fall here are some essentials you need to have!

One piece you absolutely need is a leather jacket. Leather jackets are the perfect fall piece because they can really elevate your outfit. You can dress it down by wearing a leather jacket with a pair of jeans and a basic top. Or if you’re feeling more lavish you can wear your leather jacket with an elegant dress, or mini skirt. There are so many ways you can style a leather jacket this fall, it’s time to add this clothing piece to your wardrobe!

Black calf boots are another piece that can really make your outfit stand out. They’re an eye-catching piece, that makes your outfit bolder. You can pair your black calf boots with any miniskirt or jeans. It’s a clothing staple that will last you a long time, don’t be afraid to invest in a good pair this fall, you won’t regret it!

Here are some perfect examples of how great a boot will make your outfit!

As I’ve previously mentioned, mini skirts are perfect to pair with black boots or leather jackets. If you don’t have this item in your closet already, add it! Mini skirts are such cute bottoms to add to your outfit. There are so many patterns and textures you can choose from: plaid, leather, wool, etc. Considering that it is also cold, in order to keep warm, pair your skirt of choice with tights! Tights will make your outfit classy, and will really complement your outfit as a whole.

If you’re looking for a bottom that gives more coverage than the mini skirt and tights combo, check out wide-legged jeans! Wide-legged jeans are perfect! Wide-legged jeans give a very relaxed fit and make your look effortless. On top of all of this, they are extremely comfortable. I personally am not a fan of skinny jeans because they’re not the most comfortable for me. Which is why I made the switch to wide-legged jeans, and I can’t tell you the amount of complements I’ve got. Add them to your wardrobe if you’re looking for that perfect combination of style and comfort.

Here’s a perfect example of how flattering wide-legged jeans are!

We’ve been talking about the perfect bottoms for this fall but what about tops? This fall basic tops are in for all the ways we can style them. Fitted tops have especially been trending, they go well with a baggy bottom or a fitted bottom. It’s totally your choice how you want to style it, both look great! Colors that have been especially trending are black, brown, dark green, auburn, etc.

Here’s a perfect example of a basic top that is perfect for this fall!

The fun thing about basic tops is the way you can accessorize them. Gold jewelry has been really popular this fall, especially chunky gold earrings and layered necklaces. The chunky earrings can turn a basic top look chic. Add necklaces on top of that, and everyone will ask where you got your jewelry from. Jewelry is the perfect way to make your look more interesting, which is why I never leave my house without it. Add jewelry to your looks this fall to look more stylish!
