Cooler Weather Brings Back Old Favorites!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCSU chapter.

Now that the weather is getting cooler and my favorite season is upon us, let’s get excited! There’s nothing like walking outside in a light sweater and feeling the fall breeze; it’s an instant mood booster. The leaves are changing colors and all of our favorites are now back in season, so here’s everything you can look forward to this fall.

One of my favorite parts of fall is enjoying the cool weather with some headphones on, listening to that perfect fall playlist. The absolute queen of sweater weather runs my playlists this time of year, and she’s on tour all season long! That’s right, miss Lana Del Rey. There’s no doubt the Lana Cult will take over TikTok with their concert outfit ideas of lace and red lipstick. From “Born to Die” to “Ultraviolence,” and her newest album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” there’s something to listen to for every PSL run.

When I’m not going for a coffee run this fall, you will definitely find me bundled up in my room with my Hobby Lobby pumpkins and Bath and Body Works candles. But what are we going to put on the TV? Gilmore Girls and Twilight, 100%. There’s nothing like a mother daughter love in the small town of Stars Hallow or a girl falling in love with a vampire and “Rosyln” by Bon Iver playing. These fall classics make me so excited for the upcoming season and can get me in the fall mood immediately.

And for all of my professional girlies, Lorelai Gilmore gives perfect fall business attire inspo. She’s currently all over my Pinterest homepage and inspiring a professional awakening in me.

To finish off the fall season, Taylor Swift has blessed us all with “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film on October 13th and the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” on October 27th. As Taylor’s fourth re-recorded album, and her second just this year, the Swifties can’t wait to see the Eras Tour in theaters and then have a listening party featuring five tracks from the vault. She’s just announced the titles as “Slut!,” “Is it Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go” and “Suburban Legends.” From AMC selling cups and popcorn buckets, we can maybe expect a surprise song or two. All will be known on October 13th!

Fall is a time where I feel more comfortable and like myself so I’m very much looking forward to all of my favorites coming back in season!

In senior year she was elected Student Body President where she was responsible for conducting meetings, guiding the planning of school wide and community events, and making sure every member felt heard. Now, she is a freshman at NC State majoring in business administration, with a hope to concentrate in finance. Kelsey was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Off campus she enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and listening to music. She is passionate about helping others and enjoying everything the world has to offer. After graduation she hopes to become a project manager, but most importantly, she hopes to travel as much as possible and spend time with loved ones.
