Christmas List Ideas in October…

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCSU chapter.

I know, I know, it seems wayyyy too early to begin a Christmas list, but if you’re anything like me you’ve seen ideas all over TikTok and have no self-control when it comes to online shopping. As a broke college student, being able to look at the things that I really wish to have and put them on my list as a way of “owning” them is cathartic! So here are some items on my list that I think may be a great addition to yours!

Dr. Martens White Platform Chelsea Boots

I am happily in love with these boots. These shoes are such a staple piece for your closet, PLUS they have so many dupes available everywhere, as the original docs are a bit on the pricey side! These boots would make such a cute addition to your wishlist.

The Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer

I have seen this hot tool everywhere! As a girl with pin-straight hair lacking in volume, I am loving the idea of this blow dryer that provides body and drys your hair all in one step; and it’s available pretty much everywhere! So with some price-checking, you could get a great deal!

The Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara

This is my all-time favorite drug store mascara! It stays on no matter what, doesn’t smudge, and provides volume and length! I consistently recommend this mascara to all of my friends and I doubt I’ll be switching it anytime soon.

Blue Light Glasses!

There are so many great, affordable options on Amazon that will make a great addition to your Christmas wishlist! I have yet to own my own pair and especially with online school, I have been noticing that I am getting more headaches, and my eyes are hurting, etc. I’m hoping these glasses will make a difference!

The Starlight Projector

Another awesome Amazon find! I have seen these all over social media in action, and the “feel” and an overall vibe that they bring to your room is so magical. Turning off the lights and gazing at the stars in the comfort of your own bed just sounds amazing. Definitely, a must-add to your Christmas list if your room is your happy place, as it is mine!

A “self-care is for everyone” product

I am a huge fan of this company and their mission! If you’re looking for a self-care reminder or even just a cute pullover with a great message this one is definitely a great addition to your list.

Missguided Sweatpants

Missguided was such a great find for me throughout this past year. I had never been able to find “tall” sweatpants until one of my friends pointed me in their direction, and I’ve been obsessed since. They are affordable and cute! Such a great item on a wishlist.

NC State anything!!

I have been loving all the NC State merch! A simple pullover off of Amazon like the first one, or even a custom “tailgate crop” you can find on Instagram shops or Etsy, is a cute addition to any list or even a great gift to give to a fellow pack member. GO PACK!

“We’re Not Really Strangers” card game

This is such a cool item to have on any Christmas wishlist! If you’re looking to bond with a loved one, form a deeper relationship, and even possibly cry together this one is for you. I’ve had my eyes on this game for such a long time and am so excited to add it to my wishlist!

The infamous “Urban Outfitters Hooded Teddy” jacket

I am obsessed with this jacket! I already have the ivory color and I am putting the purple multicolor on my wishlist. It’s the perfect jacket for winter-time and I feel like an actual teddy bear when I wear it! If you’re looking for a comfy, stylish piece that will make everyone want to give you a hug, this is a great addition to your wishlist! (Plus it’s on sale right now!!

There you go! I hope that some of these ideas straight off my wishlist gave you some as well. And even though it’s early I find it so beneficial to know what my loved ones are wishing for the sooner, the better, so I can be ready for the sales! Enjoy!
