New year, new me at least that’s what we all say. This year will be the year I follow through with my resolutions, I hope. Being in college you get so consumed with a million different things that we often forget to slow down and appreciate the little things or even take time for ourselves. This year I am determined to break the cycle of my bad habits and work to achieve my goals. Yes, I know we usually take the New Year’s resolutions as a joke and quit after a week or two, but the benefits are endless. This year I am using them to reflect and refocus myself on what I want to accomplish and who I want to be. With a new semester, new job, and new year it’s time to improve my overall well-being. I have listed my resolutions below in no particular order.

  1. Wake up earlier: Specifically aiming to wake up around 8:00 to 9:00.
  2. Meet new people: I want to expand my social circle and form new connections.
  3. Prioritize Physical Health: Working out regularly
  4. Travel: See new places
  5. Live in the moment: Appreciate the moment and not dwell on the past or future.
  6. Have fun: Enjoy the little things and create memories.
  7. Don’t Stress: Learn to navigate situations without worrying about unnecessary things.
  8. Try new things: Try new activities, foods, and habits
  9. Cultivate a healthier diet: Nourish my body
  10. Journal: Do this every day as my way of self-expression and reflection

These are my resolutions, they will be different from yours but I hope that maybe I can give you some ideas or inspire you to reflect on yourself and your goals. The time is ticking it is time to start this new year right!
