Keeping up with the Ultimate Homecoming Experience

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCCU chapter.

Homecoming is better than Christmas for HBCU students, and NCCU’s very own Ultimate Homcoming Experience is off to a phenomenal start! The excitement and postitive energy is radiating around campus and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the week. It’s been a busy week so let’s recap our HoCo experience thus far.

Choir Ball

The Choir Ball was a concert like no other! We enjoyed performances from our most talented students embodying their favorite celebrities. Students performed as everyone from Beyonce to Lloyd to Whitney Houston to Drake and Kodak Black. The show was full of surprises and was the perfect way to top off a busy Monday.

Tuesday’s 10:40 Break

Tuesday morning we came together to support Eagle Excellece. Student entrepreneurs set up tables around the Greek Bowl selling their very own products. Students sold everything from handmade jewelry and hats to apparel from their self-owned clothing lines. It’s always important to support black owned businesses, especially when their owners are members of your very own Eagle Fam!

Mock Funeral

We all came together Tuesday evening to celebrate the life (and death) of the Savannah State Tiger and to spread some enthusiasm about the upcoming football game on Saturday at 2pm against our fellow HBCU, Savannah State Universtiy. “James 19 Verse 10: Thou shalt not knuck or buck if thou not ready to fight.” We hope everyone is excited for a victorious Homecoming game!

Late Night Breakfast

This is easily a Homecoming favorite! Who doesn’t love to eat breakfast at midnight while simultaneously partying? Late night pancakes and twerking, what more can you ask for?

Let’s keep the Homecoming momentum up! Stay lit and enjoy every moment of your Ultimate Homecoming Experience because it’s just getting started. #HCXO
