Classic Black love. When we think about relationship goals, we automatically think of Jay-Z and Beyonce or Will and Jada, but what about the iconic President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama? That’s the ultimate goal, at least for me. In the new movie “Southside With You,” we learn about the first date of our President and First Lady. Here’s the inside scoop!

In the beginning of the movie, First Lady Michelle was seen speaking to her parents about Barack Obama being her co-worker and how it would be tacky to date a colleague. What do you girls think?! Personally, I would not mix my business life and personal life. Life can get pretty messy!

Question, ladies. Has a guy ever taken you on a first date around the people who loved and looked up to him the most? If it hasn’t happened to you, please note that it has definitely happened to Michelle. According to the film, Obama took Michelle to his home church, and you know what they say about church family… They might as be your real family! Long story short, Obama took to Michelle to his church where his church members praised him speaking of what a great man he way. What a smart way for a guy to get a girl!

Next, Michelle was a woman who played hard to get! During the whole date, she would constantly tell Obama that it was NOT a date! And she certainly emphasized it a lot! She stated, “It’s not a date until I say it’s a date.” Indeed, it was a date. You can predict that it was a very successful date. Hence, they’ve been married for decades! President Obama and First Lady Michelle are the perfect example of what real love is! Black love! True relationship goals!

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
