The Sleep Revolution is Here

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCAT chapter.

As college students we might not get much sleep, so shouldn’t the sleep we do get be the best sleep?

At first I had no clue what to expect from the sleep kit, but when I opened the cloth tote bag I discovered items that would change the way I thought about my sleep.

I felt like a child who discovered something new and foreign. As I delicately opened the cylinder package I found a single white ball. Next I downloaded an app called Sense and after that I was hooked.

Before Sense and the Sleep Pill, a tool used to help track your sleep patterns, I never would have thought that facts such as humidity would affect how much deeply I slept.

With finals behind us and an entire summer ahead I’m super excited to read Arianna Huffington’s book called The Sleep Revolution: Transforming Your Life, One Night at a Time. Purchase it here or follow her on Twitter. I challenge everyone to read this summer, but that also means read non-fiction books too! #SleepRevolution

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
