Migos, Culture, album is setting the bar for hip hop artists in 2017. After teasing fans, with the hit single, “Bad and Boujee,” the Migos sophomore album is a success. This album includes exclusive features from DJ Khaled, Lil Uzi Vert, and other great rap artists.
Here are our 4 top picks from the album:
4. “What’s the Price”
Starting off at #4 is, “What’s the Price.” The song starts off slow and steady, while the beat gratifies into a more relaxed trap music beat. Migos uses a mix of rock and hip hop, creating a harmonious vibe. The trio is stating that they want to have fun but they are cognizant that they have to spend money, in order, to maintain their lifestyle and image. This song is relatable, especially as a young adults, as we are realizing you have to work hard, to play hard.
3. “Slippery” ft. Gucci Mane
“Slippery,” featuring rap sensation, Gucci Mane, is one of our favorite collaborations on this album. The flow, the beat, and the bridge were phenomenal. This is a song that you could do anything too, especially if you’re out on the town with your girls!
2. “Bad and Boujee”
The hit radio song,” Bad and Boujee,” is our second favorite. This your club banger that arouses the crowd. Offsets introduction prepared us for a hype song. The song title alone is a very popular quote on social media. Rumored that this is the female version of Migos older hot song Handsome & Wealthy. Although this is a great song, the radio has played it out which leaves it at number 2.
1. “T- Shirt”
Have you heard the song “White T” by Dem Franchize Boys? This was a classic when we were growing up. Now take the beat of that song and slow it down. Although though the producers Nard & B say, “We did not sample White-T,” but the introduction sounds very similar.
Culture has not only been a hit album, but it has set the standard for rappers this year. The albums includes some of the best producers and some of the most exclusives artists. This is an album that you don’t want to miss out on.
