It’s almost spring time! Isn’t it such a wonderful time where it’s not too hot and not too cold, it’s just right? But those that have allergies, it might not be just right during the spring time. Those that have bad allergies, do not fear, because there are some great natural ways to calm down allergies during the Spring. Here are 5 ways that actually work to help relieve you with your allergies:

  1. If you have allergies, take a shower. Showering will not only help you get rid of pollen, but it will also help relieve stuffiness with the steam.

  2. Using a saline Nasal spray can also be very helpful, especially on the go. If you have an itchy, runny, stuffy nose, use a nasal spray. It definitely helps you if you are on the go, like, if you have to go to class, make errands, etc. Using a nasal spray definitely helps in time of need.

  3. Some may not like eating healthy, but try something for a change. Try eating salmon, because Salmon is known for its rich omega 3’s.

  4. Yogurt is key when enduring the allergies season, Yogurt has probiotics and gets rid of all bacteria.

  5. Finally, taking a break sometimes. Believe it or not, stress can provoke allergies to build up your inflammatory system again. There are so many things to help you relax, like deep breathing, listening to music, working out, etc. Taking breaks from time to time can help you in decreasing your inflammatory system.

My name is Kassia McKain, I attend North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am apart of the wonderful Hercampus NCAT.
Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
