Restaurant Review: Paradou NYC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mville chapter.

Located in the Meatpacking District, Paradou is the perfect weekend brunch spot. It’s a great place to bring a group of your friends on a nice day or for a nice one on one meal. I went to this restaurant for a birthday over the summer and after my experience, I had to write about it. Food is a love of mind and I love writing about places that give you a good amount for your money.

The restaurant is pretty small in size. There is some seating in the front and some in the back which has a garden type of feel. I suggest reservations if you plan to have a large group because it can take your awhile to be seated. A lot of young people in their 20’s and 30’s tend to go to this place. It definitely has a young people kind vibe and is very hip.

For the brunch, you pay one standard price for your main dish and unlimited mimosa. Depending on the size of your party, pricing can vary. I paid around $30 dollars for my meal. I had a duck sandwich with cheese, collard greens and other toppings. The bread was toasted and tasted buterry. There was also roasted potatoes on the side with arugula. Honestly, it was delicious! The bread was toasted perfectly and the flavors all went well! The mimosa was great and they kept the refills coming.

The service was really good! The food came quick and they were ready to assist you at any moment. Our waiter was really sweet and was really great at helping us out with any questions we had about the menu. All of the staff wanted you to have a good time there so they would make sure everyone was enjoying the music and the company.

The atmosphere was fantastic! They played fantastic music from classics to modern mainstream music. There was also a birthday party happening so that added to the energy! Some people got out of their seats and started dancing on their seats, singing out loud and just having a blast. Everyone was just enjoying life at that moment.

After leaving Paradou, I haven’t experienced a brunch like it. I’m a fan of a nice brunch and it’s hard to find a good place with good food, drinks, and energy! I highly recommend attending if you’re someone who wants to have a fun day out with your friends or to celebrate a birthday. I believe if they upgraded on the spacing that it could hold more people and give off more good vibes. Overall, Paradou gets 4/5 stars from me!
