If you’re looking for a nice place to have a sit down meal with friends or maybe even for a date, Fortina is the place to go. Fortina is an Italian restauant that has locations in Rye Brook, NY, Armonk, NY and Stamford, CT. All the locations are beautiful and have rustic vibe. It speaks comfort and is an easy going place to have great conversational dinners. I’ve personally only been to the locations in Armonk and Stamford for dinner, but all the locations have different seating arrangements and decor.
When it comes to service, they have amazing staff. In both locations all the staff members were super friendly and ready to serve you. At the one in Stamford, I had lovely conversations with two bartenders about the area, life, etc. and it was extremely nice. This was my first experience at Fortina and it was on my birthday. Having the conversations with the staff and just sharing some laughs made me love the place even more. I felt like I was surrounded by family. I had a similar experence at the one in Armonk. I had a waiter who sat down and talked to my friends and I before offering us a beautiful table where we could see the kitchen in action. The service was great. Our food was served in good timing and our drinks were always filled.
As for food, everything is so beautifully prepared! Both times I had the Fusili pasta which has to be my favorite! The rice balls are also delicious. The soft cheese on the bottom of the plate really gives great flavor for each bite. I’ve also tried the meatballs which everyone raves about! I must admit, they were delicious. The sauce was nice and thick and the cheese was super fresh. The fresh mozz sticks are super crunchy and the fresh cheese in the center that melts so beautifully! They also have great pizza. Both of my friends got their own pizzas and loved every bite.
As for drinks, they have a great selection of wine. They also have a wide selection of mix cocktails as well. They do give a lot of refills when it comes to fountain drink. My friend ordered a pepsi and they were really great on giving him as many refills as he wanted.
So overall, I highly recommend you go to Fortina. I loved going with my friends, but it’s also a great spot for one on dates. The vibe is very relaxing and sets your night off on a great note.
