Restaurant Review: Blockheads White Plains

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mville chapter.

Everyone loves a good taco place. While many people in the Westchester area go to Bar Taco for their fix, Blockheads in white plains is a closer option for some and the perfect place for a nice night out with friends. The place has a very relaxing and chill vibe. From the pops of color of the wall, the vibrant photographs and rainbow lights that hang above. It’s a great place to take not only friends, but it’s perfect for a casual date.

When you first sit, they bring you chips and salsa which was a nice touch. It tasted super fresh and was so good to munch on. The menu has a lot to offer at reasonable prices. Since I’m a taco fanatic, I got a combo which came with two tacos, rice and beans. They had many options for taco fillings such as the simple chicken or even steak or mushrooms. I got two chicken tacos because I always say when trying a new place to go with what you know first. The combo also came with a side of fresh guacamole and sour cream. This combo was about 10 dollars.

As for drinks, they have a wide variety. They have a drink called a hedghammer which is margarita, tequila and a bottle of bud light stuck into the cup. I got the watermelon flavored margarita with it and it was delicious! It was only $7 dollars which is a good price since those drinks usually cost a lot more.

As for the service, it was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They would check on you from time to time to make sure your meal was good. They even handed out a discount card for the next time you order take out from Blockheads which was sweet! The good came really fast. I would say it took about 10 minutes to come which was great. They really do make sure you’re comfortable.

If you’re looking for a good priced meal, a casual night out and a place to just relax with friend, I highly suggest Blockheads! I will certainly be taking my friends there soon.
