“Woah, I’m so in love with her outfit,” I thought to myself as a girl strutted by in black booties, an incredibly fashionable pair of pants, and a super cute crop top. While waiting in line to enter the venue, I kept looking down at my own outfit, comparing it to everyone else’s in line thinking, “I could have done so much better.” I wore a simple, black bodysuit, black jeans, and a pair of heeled sandals. Honestly, I did not think the outfit was bad at all, but compared to all of the other girls at College Fashion Week, it was pretty bad.

After about an hour of waiting in line, I entered the venue. OOH. I saw purple lights everywhere. I wasn’t even in the venue for five seconds and already was being handed a gift box. After I had received the gift box, I walked into the giant room while some Ciara song blasted in the background. I looked around and saw so many different cool things, like, a mini-Primark, stands from Ulta Beauty and Bed Head by TIGI, and a Her Campus shop. So much to do. So much to see. I could get used to this.

A woman at a table handed me a bag of chips, Boxed Water, and chocolate. Before I knew it, the lights dimmed down. I hurried back over to my friends and all of a sudden, another woman, the host, stepped out onto the runway. She welcomed everybody in the room and introduced Trinidad Cardona, an 18-year-old singer who skyrocketed to fame overnight. Trinidad sang two songs, which, if I do say so myself, were absolute bops. After his performance, it was time for the fashion show to begin. I was so excited.

Everyone in the room gathered around the runway. Music came on, and the first model came out and strutted her stuff down the runway. Slay. She finished and another model followed after her, and so on. All of the outfits that the models were wearing were amazing and I’d just wish that all of them were in my closet, but a girl can dream. After the fashion show ended, I went to go explore a bit more before the next one started.

I went for a stroll over to the mini-Primark and looked at all of the cute clothes. I wish I could’ve bought them right then and there. After Primark, I headed over to the Ulta Beauty and Bed Head stands, where you could either get your makeup or hair done. I thought to myself, “College Fashion Week really knows how to treat a girl,” as I stood in the Bed Head line. Pretty soon after that, the lights dimmed down and again, it was time for the next show to start. I hurried back over to my friends.

The models strutted their stuff down the runway once more. The outfits were getting cuter and cuter as time passed by. The last model striked a pose and soon, the fashion show was over. The lights came on and everyone in the room applauded. The host stepped out onto the runway again and asked how everyone’s night was going. AMAZING. She then called out the winners for raffles, and before I knew it, the most fashionable night of my life was over. My friends and I gathered together with sad looks on our faces. It was clear that we did not want to leave. College Fashion Week was one of the happiest nights of my life and I am more than happy to say that I’ve attended my first one.
