For those sleepless nights, numerous cups of coffee and occasional tears, finals week is here!!! I know finals week can be stressful for a lot of people, but here are some tips on how to relieve stress during this week.

  1. Practice meditating.

Taking deep breathes is extremely helpful to relieve stress and can make your mind focus.

  2. Go for a stroll.

As a student myself, there have been times where I study for hours without taking a small break and I have realized it seems to tire me out earlier. Take a stroll between studying and refresh your mind before going back.

  3. Get enough sleep!

Unfortunately, we are not invincible. After studying for hours, our mind needs rest. Stress and sleep go hand in hand. Believe me, I have gone through this and it is not a pretty sight.

  4. Lose yourself in music.

Music is my favorite thing to do to relieve my stress. It can take you to a peaceful and sound place.

  5. Always remember you are not the only one.

There would be times where I thought I was the only one stressing, but in reality everyone is! Talk to your friends and see how they deal with stress. Everyone deals with it differently and their suggestions might work for you!

  6. Last thing, always make time for yourself.

Whether that is watching netflix for an hour, taking a long shower or just playing video games, treat yo self! Distract yourself for at least 15 minutes to clear your mind.
