Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for those around us who love and support us, and it is a time to be thankful for all that we have. It is also a time to get absolutely stuffed like the turkey sitting in the middle of your dining table. We all know the Thanksgiving routine. We have it down by now.

1. The Pre-game

Pre-gaming for Thanksgiving dinner is a must. Sorry to disappoint but I do not mean alcohol. Everyone knows for the best Thanksgiving dinner experience you don’t eat on Thanksgiving Day until the dinner is served. Is it healthy? Not really, but you save all that stomach room and calories for the wonderful food to come.

2. Making the infamous dinner

Depending on who you are making dinner can be easy, or it can be hard. Making dinner while hungry? Definitely hard no matter who you are. Life points to those of you who endure this pain for the perfect meal.

3. The waiting

If you are not the one cooking then the waiting is possibly the worst aspect of the holiday for you. You have been waiting patiently and not a morsel of food as passed your lips all day. You’re thankful for the people slaving away in the kitchen for the perfect meal. But WTF (where’s the food)?

4. The greatest part of the holiday for everyone…EATING

Thanksgiving is the time to be thankful for one another. However, it is also the time in which we can all throw our dignity out the window without judgment and stuff our faces to no end.

5. More eating

The eating doesn’t stop there. Sometimes you have more than one Thanksgiving dinner over the holiday break. Plus, ever heard of leftovers? They aren’t going to eat themselves, so grab your eating pants!

6. The realization

There is then of course the realization of how much you ate and how stuffed you are. Does that stop you from raiding the dessert table though? Absolutely not.

7. No ragrets…I mean regrets

Obviously after eating all of that food and feeling like you are on the verge of busting like a balloon you have no regrets because the food was delicious. Well…maybe there are a couple regrets, but you know you will do it all over again the next year.
