You’ve had your decorations and costume ready for your Halloween party since October 1st, but now it’s time to start thinking about snacks. Here are five easy snacks that you can make or buy for your party.
1. Caramel apples
This classic fall treat is perfect for making yourself eat more fruit. You can buy the ingredients and make your own, which means custom apples with M&M’s or nuts or other crushed treats. Or you can buy pre-made caramel and candy apples from the store.
2. Popcorn balls
What’s better than popcorn? Popcorn in ball form! Though I’ve never made them, so I can’t vouch for how easy they are to make, they’re another classic Halloween snack that you can pick up from the store.
3. Candy brooms
A super easy snack to make is mini-Reese’s cups with pretzel sticks stuck in them. They look like little broomsticks and are the perfect combination of salty and sweet.
4. Sugar cookies cut in the shape of monsters or bats or pumpkins
This is more in-depth, but it’s worth it. Find a good roll out sugar cookie recipe, cut out Halloween-related shapes, and cover them with icing after they cool.
5. Butterbeer
If you like butterscotch and cream soda, butterbeer is a great Halloween punch drink. You can make it warm, cold, frozen, or alcoholic. In the past, I made a cold batch with cream soda, heavy whipping cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butterscotch sauce. Then I added cinnamon whiskey to spike it.
Though it’s not an extensive list, these five treats could provide a solid foundation for your snack table. Don’t forget Halloween candy!
