Welcome to the Conspiracy Series.

This week we will dive into the conspiracy behind Princess Diana’s death.

In this theory, I will go into a bit of a backstory because it is important to know. Diana grew up on Queen Elizabeth’s estate and often played with the younger princes. When her father succeeded to the earldom, she became Lady Diana. In February 1981 her engagement to Prince Charles was announced, and they were married in July of that same year. Their two children, Prince William, and Prince Harry were born in 1982 and 1984. Unfortunately, Princess Diana dealt with many mental illnesses after her sons were born and her marriage suffered. Diana and Charles divorced in 1996. Diana was still one of the most popular people in the world, even after the divorce. She remained active in charity work and other various activities, and eventually began dating again. Sadly, Diana died in a terrible car accident in 1977. This accident is where today’s conspiracy begins.

Behind the Conspiracy

While there are many theories behind Diana’s death, I will only be covering a couple that go hand in hand.

The first theory is that Diana was pregnant with her current boyfriend’s baby. When Diana died in the car crash, she wasn’t alone. Dodi Fayed, her current boyfriend was also killed in the crash. Rumors began that Diana was pregnant with Dodi, and the British state did not approve. It was a scandal for the former princess to be involved with an Egyptian Muslim. Apparently the Queen would not have approved of her grandchildren having a Muslim man as their step-father. This rumor began the controversy behind Diana and Dodi’s death.

Diana’s pregnancy rumor sparked a larger theory that the British establishment was out to get her. She wrote in a letter to herself that she was scared for her life. She wrote that someone was planning an accident in her car resulting in a head injury. This was, she said, to clear the path for Charles to marry. Diana seemed to have good reason to believe her life was in danger. In fact, Dodi’s father has been the person insisting that these rumors were true.

A three-year-long investigation occurred after Diana’s death in order to find the real cause behind the accident. It was found that the driver of Diana and Dodi’s car was extremely drunk, three times over the limit in fact. However, the driver Paul was head security at the hotel where the couple was staying, so it seems incredibly unlikely for this to occur. Theorists believe that Paul’s blood was swapped with a suicide victim and that’s why the alcohol level is so high. They believe Paul was blinded by a bright light. But what caused the bright light?

Finally, the white Fiat that struck Diana’s vehicle has never been found.

There are many parts of this theory to unravel, but these are the main points.

Debunking

This theory has facts from the investigation done, but it still doesn’t answer all the questions. Where did the white fiat go? Did the bright light come from the fiat? Are there truly that many secrets in the British establishment? Would the Queen herself really have someone killed? In this theory, the answers are up to the reader.

What I Think

Honestly, this theory seems suspicious enough to be true. Especially after reading the excerpt from Diana’s letter where she says she thinks someone is out to get her. This theory doesn’t have many facts supporting it, but it doesn’t have a prominent amount of facts proving it wrong either. Yes car accidents are common, but how come the white Fiat was never recovered? And yes the blood results showed an insane amount of alcohol in the driver, but why would Diana and Dodi get into a car with a driver who is clearly intoxicated? And why would he be intoxicated in the first place if he was head of security? The questions go on and on.

Overall I give this theory a 5 out of 5 stars. I’m convinced. That’s all I can say. Every time I try to make sense of it, I come up with more questions. This is legit.
