Moisturize: As the air gets colder and the wind begins to pick up in the late-fall months, you MUST make your moisturizer your new friend. I know many people are scared of oily skin, but dry skin can make your acne worse. I have super sensitive skin, and when I get windburn on my face I rub petroleum jelly on my cheeks and around my nose. It saves me in the winter months!

Use a cotton face mask: There is no doubt that “maskne” is a real thing thing. The best and easiest way to keep your chin and cheeks clear, while still staying safe, is to wear a natural, breathable fabric like cotton.

Clean your phone: Let’s face it, our phones are always with us. But think about how often you wash your hands and how often you wash your phone. Yeah,  there’s a difference. If you are starting to see pimples on your cheeks, it may be germs from your phone that are transferred when you make a call. Start wiping off your phone every few days!

Let the products work: I know it is tempting to pop those blackheads on your chin or pimple on your nose, but don’t do it! It may be satisfying in the moment, but it could make your situation much worse. Trust that your skincare will work!

Wash your pillowcase: Yes, procrastinating your laundry may be the underlying cause of your most recent breakout. Your pillowcase carries dirt and products that rub off from your hair and hands when you are fast asleep at night. Make sure to change out your pillowcase regularly to make sure these germs don’t irritate your beautiful skin!
