5 On-The-Go Breakfast Ideas for The Walk to Class

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Murray State chapter.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It kick-starts your metabolism to help you burn calories, and gives you more energy to help you focus! Many people neglect this meal because they say they don’t have time to eat in the mornings, so here are 5 breakfast ideas you can eat on the go!

GoGo Squeez

It may be “for kids”, but who says we can’t enjoy them? GoGo Squeezs are on-the-go packets of applesauce or yogurt! These are perfect for when you wake up late and have to literally run to class, or for when you just don’t want to put any effort into breakfast. You may want to eat two to make sure you aren’t hungry after your first class. Find them at any major grocery store, and visit their website!

Overnight Oats

These can be made in any container you have! To be able to eat them on the go, make sure it’s easy to take your container with you. We recommend a mason jar. Here are 10 easy recipes for overnight oats!

Breakfast Parfaits

These can also be made in any container, but we recommend a mason jar here, too. Parfaits are quick and easy– just throw in your ingredients and go! If you’re wanting to branch out, here are 10 healthy yogurt parfait recipes!

Microwave Mug Breakfast

Don’t knock it ’til ya try it! These are perfect for days you just want to go to a local bakery and grab something, but don’t have the time (or don’t want to leave campus). If you have a microwave and a mug (or mason jar), here are some awesome microwave breakfast recipes!

Fruit

If you really don’t have time for breakfast, make sure you have something in your stomach so you’re not focused on how hungry you are! Keep some fruit stocked in your room, or grab some from the dining hall!
