Undoubtedly, October is one of the best months of the year. Fall is arriving, temperatures are dropping and you can binge-watch scary movies all month long in anticipation of the spookiest night of the year.

But the month is almost over, and frankly, ain’t nobody got time for sorting through Netflix’s horror section.

So, in honor of Halloween, here’s 13 must-see scary movies.

1. Would You Rather (2013)

Do you remember playing “Would You Rather?” in middle school? It would be simple, yet sometimes gross questions: would you rather have to eat a thousand spiders or go a week without electricity? Yeah, this movie is nothing like that.

2. The Sixth Sense (1999)

Beware: you’ll spend the next few days wondering why the temperature in the room just dropped.

3. Hush (2016)

Imagine being alone and deaf, knowing nobody will be able to come to your rescue for hours. Then imagine knowing someone is waiting outside your house with the intent to drive you crazy and kill you. What do you do?

4. The Babadook (2014)

The internet was filled with jokes when Netflix accidentally placed this movie under the LGBTQ category, but there isn’t anything funny about life after the Babadook comes knocking. 10/10 do not recommend watching alone.

5. Saw

Netflix actually has all of the Saw movies, minus the newest one. If you can stomach it, grab some snacks, and make it a marathon!

6. …or any of the Chuckie movies.

…just don’t. Or do.

7. The Invitation (2015)

How can a dinner party be sinister? One man is about to find out.

8. I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House (2016)

This Netflix original tells a ghost story within a ghost story, and trust me, it’s nothing like what you heard around the campfire.

9. 13 Cameras (2015)

Ever had the feeling you were being watched? If your landlord is anything like this one, you might just be.

10. Children of the Corn (1984)

Terrible acting? Check. Questionable graphics? Check. Still terrifying? CHECK.

11. 1922 (2017)

Based on a Stephen King novella, this Netflix original looks back on the year 1922 and the unspeakable things one man does as he confesses to his crimes.

12. Zodiac (2007)

I can’t attest to how scary this movie is, but it is based on true events and features the hunt for a serial killer. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo AND Robert Downey, Jr. are in it. Perfect for a spooky girl’s night.

13. The Human Centipede (2009)

I don’t even have words for this movie. Just watch it.
