Living in Allentown: Rascal’s Food and Fun

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Muhlenberg chapter.

Looking for a fun night out with a group of friends? Try visiting Rascal’s! Go to grab a bite to eat or spend the evening playing arcade games. They have a full-service restaurant and bar, patio dining and they also have laser tag, mini bowling lanes, a rock climbing tower, a ball maze and indoor bumper cars.

Location: 6616 Ruppsville Rd, Allentown, PA 18106

Hours:

Pub Hours: Tues. – Thurs. 4PM-10PM, Fri. 3PM-12PM, Sat. 11AM-12PM, Sun. 11AM-10PM

Game Room: Mon. – Thurs. 4PM-10PM, Fri. 3PM-12PM, Sat. 11AM-12PM, Sun. 11AM-10PM

Food: Onion rings, quesadillas, nachos, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, tacos and jumbo wings. In other words, Rascal’s has everything college kids love to eat.

Every day of the week they have different special.

Prices: The food prices are very affordable. But spending an evening playing games can get costly. Mini- bowling costs $3 per person per game and $3 can also get you a 5-minute ride on the bumper cars. Laser tag costs $6 per player per 7.5-minute game and it costs $3 per person per climb for the rock-climbing wall. Basically, if I wanted to play each game two times, it would cost me $30.

Travel Time: It’s only a 15-minute drive away from campus.

Parking: Parking is available. For those who don’t have a car, it’s about a $20 Uber ride. Going with a group of 4 friends makes it much cheaper.

Worth a visit: Yes, but only if you go with a group of friends or your family. This also seems like a place to only go once or twice a semester. Save it for those special nights when you need to blow off some steam with your closest friends or when you have exhausted other options and need something new to do.
