It’s official! Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley exchanged vows on March 9, 2019 at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California. According to the Chicago Tribune, the couple wed in a civil ceremony at the Cook County’s clerk office on December 27, 2018. Prior to their wedding, Chance shared the story of how he met his wife via Instagram and Twitter.

He revealed that he met Kirsten while attending his mother’s office party. He recalls:

“I was 9 [years] old at the time so I was prolly oblivious to what was going on and had no say in how I spent my evenings, anyway… BUT THEN… out of nowhere, we were all told to make room, to spread out and make a circle for a presentation. We were instructed to make way for an exclusive performance by DESTINY’S CHILD!!” He continued, “From the back stepped out 3 young girls. Who were not Destiny’s Child,” “‘QUESTION. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME.’ Now I’m locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on Earth.”

This was the moment where Chance met his best friend and future wife. The couple shared an intimate ceremony with their family and friends, including Kim and Kanye West and Dave Chappelle. Chance also shared an intimate moment during the ceremony with his daughter, Kensli, as she ran into his arms. Shortly after their wedding, on March 14, 2019, Chance announced that they are expecting their second child in September. This is such exciting news! It definitely has Chicago doing front-flips, congratulations to the newlyweds!
