Moisturizing/hydrating products never work on my acne prone skin; everything breaks me out and I can’t use them. But when we got the Innisfree Intensive Hydrating Serum in our Spring Survival Kit, I was intrigued. Innisfree is a natural Korean skincare brand that boasts about having products for all skin types – even difficult, combination skin like mine.

I decided to spend a month testing out the Hydrating Serum to see what the hype was all about. And I was not disappointed.

OTHER PRODUCTS I USED:

I use Cerave Foaming Cleanser and Freeman’s Apple Cider Vinegar Mask and Scrub to wash and exfoliate and Retin-A for my stubborn acne. I used the hydrating serum in the mornings after washing my face.

MY SKIN BEFORE:

I have acne prone combination skin. I always have pimples on my cheeks and occasionally on my forehead and chin. Dry in the mornings around my chin and cheeks, greasy in the evenings around my forehead, nose and cheeks.

 MY THOUGHTS:

I love how it smells and feels. It’s not heavy or greasy, although it does leave my skin feeling somewhat sticky for a little bit after I apply it.

From the first time I used it it helped my dry skin in the am, and after a month my skin is considerably less dry in the mornings. It’s also a lot softer and smoother! And the biggest upside of all: it didn’t break me out. Most, if not all of the previous hydrating products I’ve used have broken me out incredibly, but this one didn’t. It didn’t get rid of my already existing acne or keep it at bay either, but it not breaking me out is a win in my book.

I was so happy with the Innisfree Intensive Hydrating Serum! My skin is a lot less dry and and a lot happier with me since I started using this product and I will 100% keep using it.
