Earlier this year I decided to join the app Poop Map. Poop Map is like a social media app for specifically talking about poop. More specifically, your own poop adventures. If you enjoy toilet humor, this is the app for you and your friends. I originally joined it as a joke not really thinking if any of my friends would join it. Even though I only have three other friends on it, it is so funny to just get a notification from a friend just because of their bowel movements.

Every time you log when you go number two, it will drop a pin location on a map to show all of your friends where you had been! You will also create a post where you can describe your poo and rate it from one to five stars with each thing being optional to include. One great thing is that none of this is public. You can opt for only those you choose to see all of your posts and locations, so this is a great way to just share with only your friends what you have been up to. You can like and comment on other people’s posts, which is fun when you type a concerning comment to a friend’s post after your friend manages to go number two half a dozen times within a day.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can create or join a poop league, which is where you can compete with friends! I have not personally joined one, but I have a friend who has. She cannot compete with her friend with IBS.

Some of the highlights of the posts my friends and I submitted on there are: “Fantastic” (no stars), “This…is not normal :thinking emoji” (three stars), and my personal favorite, “The L in lactose-intolerance stands for lol” (one star).

In a way, this is a glorified snap map but with more detail. If you need a way to bond with friends while everyone is locked away inside, this would be a great way to accomplish that.
