Today was my day to carry around the bag we’ll be giving away! I’ve got to admit, the idea of having responsibility for such an expensive accessory definitely made me nervous. But it did nicely compliment my hella cute mostly-from-Target outfit. Honestly, Target is my favorite place. That and thrift stores. I wouldn’t say I have any particular style- I choose what sticks out to me, what looks comfortable, and what I can afford.
The pink top comes from… you guessed it…. Target. It was originally marketed as a pajama top but I thought that the world would be missing out if I only wore it around the house. So now I like to use it as a colorful addition to many winter outfits. Not only is it pretty, it’s also mega comfortable.
Next, the skirt. I have no idea where it began its life. It came to me through the free clothes bin in the basement of 1837 hall. The zipper is a bit wonky, so it always needs a belt, but I love it. I feel like it gives off the perfect witchy vibe for Halloween. And, it has a tiny pocket. The skirt’s a bit short for my liking though so I always wear it with tights. The white lacy tights are another Target acquisition.
On to the boots and their accompanying leg-warmers. These boots I purchased at an outlet mall somewhere in eastern Massachusetts. The zippers broke about a year after I bought them, but I loved them so much I wanted to keep wearing them anyway. Hence the leg-warmers, purchased at Kohl’s (another favorite shopping haunt of mine). They hide the broken zippers and keep the breeze off my shins in cold weather. Plus, they look super awesome.
Finally: the infamous bag. I’d fill it with my journal, my list notebook and folder (otherwise known as my brain, where I write down literally EVERYTHING or else risk forgetting where my own head is), Hershey’s special dark chocolate with almonds, assorted writing implements, my wallet, my iPod, and whatever I happened to be reading at the moment (in this case, it’s The Essential Rumi. Good stuff).
