Moving back onto campus made me really happy because not only could I be back in New England with my friends, but I had my own study space. Since the pandemic started, I have been doing school online from my desk. At times, I found it hard to get out of bed and sit down at my desk to do work. With a new module underway, I decided to reorganize and add some things to make studying at my desk more fun. In this article, I will be talking about ways to revamp your study space.Â
Â
Â
1. Add organizers to your desktop.Â
This made keeping my desk clean more manageable because I had a place for everything, whether it be my writing utensils, textbooks, or notebooks. You can also play around with color schemes to fit your aesthetic.Â
Â
Â
2. Hang a calendar above your desk.Â
In addition to having a planner, above my desk I have a calendar with every month of this year. This allows me to have my assignments and appointments available right in front of me when I sit down to start my day.Â
Â
Â
3. Put sticky notes above your desk with your class schedule for each day of the week.Â
Above my desk, I have little sticky notes for each day of the week and what classes I have that day. This is extremely helpful, especially in the morning because that way I am not super frantic.Â
Â
Â
4. Hang inspirational quotes or poems.Â
On my wall, I have inspirational quotes from my favorite movies, TV shows, and celebrities. I also have some motivational poems on my wall as well. Whenever I look at something like the above image, I always feel inspired to work hard.Â
Â
Â
5. Put some art or pictures.Â
I have a small poster of van Gogh’s Irises above my desk. It adds a nice pop of color and allows you to play around with your aesthetic.Â
Â
Â
6. Hang string lights.Â
Around my calendar, pictures, and inspirational quotes that are above my desk I have hung up string lights. This can add mood lighting to your desk if you find it’s boring to just have a desk lamp.Â
Â
Hope these tips are helpful in making your study spaces!
