Calling all bakers and cooks! The Mount Holyoke Cooking Club is looking for members! The club is a newly formed organization on campus and is looking for women of all class years to join! First year and founder Jaymie Dow is very excited about the start of the Cooking Club.

“I wanted to found the cooking club so that members of the MHC community could come together and learn more about cooking and baking.”

The club aims to educate women on campus how to cook and bake, but of course, welcomes those who just want to eat home made food!

“My main goal is to form a space on campus in which cooking and baking can be celebrated and learned about,” says Dow.

While this may seem a bit domestic by Mount Holyoke standards, skills that the club will teach are practical for any woman who isn’t moving back home after graduation. Learning to cook things for one or two people will be stressed, as well as preparing meals for family or groups of friends.

If you want to learn how to make souffle to roast chicken or anything in between, email Jaymie at dow22j@mtholyoke.edu.
